Acrylic, Enamel, and Leached Indigenous Soil, Bleached in sunlight on canvas
47 x 33 inches
Burkhardt’s Earth Art canvases are infused with unique techniques where he leeches paint through indigenous soil soaked in water, then bleaches them in the sun for days. His organic process results in colors, shapes and forms not to be found in paint tubes, but defers to nature’s own mystical hand of creation which does the actual painting!
This work features colors and shapes of blue water falling with tiny glimmers of orange sunsets interspersed in the composition.
