Pal Svensson is Sweden's most famous sculptor and known for his large-scale art installations throughout Sweden. This statue is made of granite and is accompanied by a copy of the book "Pal Svensson Sculptor."
Pål Svensson ranks as one of Sweden’s leading arists, renowned for his sculptural work in stone, steel, and glass. He has an extended experience of public art working with planners and architects. Pål Svensson has made about 40 public commissions, won 15 competitions and is represented in the collections of Gothenburg Museum of Art, Museum of Sketches in Lund, Loughborough University in England and Adelphi university, New York, USA.
Before studying Art at Valand, Gothenburg University, 1979 - 1984, he studied for a MA in Urban Planning at Gothenburg University 1971 -1974. This was a great ad- ditional knowledge for an artist in the field of Public Art, and his understanding for planning and architecture has increased his capability for working in team with public projects.
