The artist was inspired by a funerary text from Ancient Egypt dating from 1540 BC to 60 BC. New Kingdom: The Book of the Dead, although its original name was "The Book of the Daybreak", which was later transliterated.
It was written in Hieroglyphs on a Papyrus scroll that represented the deceased on their journey to the afterlife, in order to overcome the judgment of Osiris through the Underworld.
In the work we can see the hieroglyphs that represent the day's departure.
Yellows and gold pigments sing like birds on the canvas.
